One of the most anticipated bouts featured home favorite Elbert Steyn, a three-time national wrestling champion, against Morocco’s Abderrahman Errachidy, a national karate champion known for lightning-fast knockouts.
Despite the crowd’s support and an undefeated professional record, Steyn was stopped by Errachidy, who extended his win streak to four and advanced to the next round.
In the main event, Nigerian Patrick Ocheme earned a unanimous decision over Mohamed Camara, securing his place in the Featherweight Semifinals.
Ocheme admitted that Kolisi’s presence had a major impact:
