Soccer in Canada is experiencing a pivotal moment in its development. On September 12, 2025, Canada Soccer released an update to its Youth Club Licensing Program, recognizing several clubs across different provinces that have met the program’s quality standards (news.canadasoccer.com).
Among the clubs recognized as Quality Soccer Providers are Futsal Club Toronto, Hamilton Serbian Youth Soccer Club, and West Lincoln Youth Soccer Club in Ontario, as well as Sportify Soccer Club and Vancouver Rangers Football Club in British Columbia (canadasoccer.com).
In addition, Ignite Soccer Club from Nova Scotia received the “Member Association Level 1” recognition within the program (canadasoccer.com).
Dave Nutt, Canada Soccer’s Director of Development, stated: “We are very pleased to announce another group of clubs that have met the Standards for Quality Soccer, along with one that has achieved a Member Association Level 1. We value the commitment of our licensed clubs to providing safe, fun, accessible, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programming.” (news.canadasoccer.com).
This statement sums up the spirit of the program: not only raising the sporting level but also ensuring that youth soccer is a positive experience for everyone involved.
With these developments, the country is fostering safer and more professional environments for young players, promoting inclusion and accessibility in diverse communities, and strengthening the grassroots soccer structure across Canada.
