On June 26, 2025, SANY Silicon Energy officially began construction of a 10 MW solar power plant in Zimbabwe, marking its first solar project in the country and the first in Africa to adopt the innovative EP+F model — a business approach that combines Engineering, Procurement, and Financing into a single, customized solution tailored to clients’ financial needs.
The project is being developed in partnership with Runtu Mining Company, and it reflects SANY’s growing commitment to clean energy expansion in emerging markets.

This 10-megawatt facility will deploy 710 high-efficiency solar modules independently developed by SANY, coupled with state-of-the-art inverters and durable mounting structures built to withstand local environmental conditions.
Scheduled to be connected to the grid by the end of 2025, the solar plant is expected to generate 18 million kilowatt-hours annually, providing a significant boost to Zimbabwe’s power supply.
